If you know us, you know we love an event. Hosting our own, attending the ones put on by others, connecting over the airwaves — all of it.
Events make up a big part of who we are because we’re on a mission to build a community and ensure that all of our schools have access to the information and assistance they need (and deserve!) to make the most out of our products.
For Digistorm’s own events through 2023, attendance numbers reached into the thousands across five in-person workshops and eight webinars. For some of our team members, that meant over 80 hours in the sky!
These in-person workshops and webinars gave our schools a chance to ask in-depth questions, hear about product features we’re working on, and give feedback on how they’d like our tools to evolve.
They were also an opportunity for our schools to connect and mingle. This year in particular, we were so impressed by what we saw in our education circles, with schools openly sharing ideas and collaboratively workshopping shared challenges.
In our two HQ countries, the USA and Australia, we spent a lot of time spreading our wings at industry events, trade shows and conferences. These offered us a chance to socialise in the education technology sector and meet with independent K-12 schools on the hunt for new tech.
From The Montessori Event in Boston to the EMA Annual Conference in Las Vegas, right across to The Independent Schools of New Zealand Seminar in Wellington and countless Educate Plus events across Australia.
You could have spotted Digistorm at 12 trade show events across the USA and 15 across Australia and New Zealand. We kept busy and we loved every second of it.
Restrictions on socialising might be a distant memory, but we get the feeling that people are still appreciating just how powerful and positive it is to get in the same room. The atmosphere was buzzing everywhere we went.
At Digistorm’s own events, we saw more diversity than ever before, with attendance spanning various departments of a school, including Admissions, Marketing, IT and Business Management. This meant an exciting roundup of questions and ideas that got us all thinking.
Each year, we hope to see more schools in more locations, and 2024 will be no exception.
Our Funnel Roundtables were a huge hit this year, offering valuable training and insights and allowing our Funnel schools the chance to maximise the efficiency of our products. So you can expect more of those next year.
We’ll also continue diving into the ever-evolving world of websites and plan to bring in more guest speakers. As always, we’ll be doing our own guest speaking at industry events and tech trade shows whenever we can.
Customer service is an integral part of the Digistorm DNA, and we hope you had a chance to feel that through our year of events. We’re committed to creating a strong, supportive network within the education sector and can’t wait to connect with you all again next year.
