Signing up for new school tech is the easy part. What happens next — the rollout, the support, the day-to-day relationship — is where it either works or it doesn't. We put together a short video with five people from across the team, each talking candidly about what that "after" actually looks like. It's a few minutes well spent if you want to get to know who you'd really be working with.
Implementation is choreography. Samantha Hunt, Director of Implementations for APAC, compares her role to an air traffic controller: she's not flying the plane, but nothing gets off track without her noticing. As she puts it, "with the right information on the table and the right people in the room, we can get anything done." It's a good reminder that a smooth rollout is thoughtfully designed and bolted down with years of experience.
The features exist because schools asked for them. Ben Hare, Director of Product Management, talks about how the events module grew directly out of school feedback. In his words, "we worked with schools directly and went, what do you love about our events module? To then make it a booking system." Nothing here was built in a vacuum.
Security is personal and more than just a procedural tick box. Gustavo Morao, VP of Engineering at Digistorm, shares a test he applies to every decision involving children's data: "would I be comfortable if this was my own kids' data?" Coming from someone who helps build the systems, that's a reassuring standard to hold.
Your culture influences how your tech plays out. Jay Pateman, Specialist Support Consultant, gets asked constantly what other schools are doing. But it's a question he actively pushes back on. "It's not about what other schools are doing," he says, "it's about what you're doing around your culture, your community." The software shouldn't be fitted around the specifics of another school.
You're talking to real people, right here in Oz. Jen Latorre, Customer Success Manager, says the biggest surprise for new customers is realising there's a real team on the other end. "We pick up the phone, we have conversations with them," she says, adding that the team sees itself as "your advocate and your champion."
The consistent thread around our team? The magic happens after go-live. Watch the full video to hear it in their own words.
